Bulletin 03.02.2010

I will be sending this bulletin to the e-mail address that you registered with on EntryCentral from next week.  If for some reason you do not want me to send missives to that e-mail address, please let me know before Monday: dom@chestertri.org.uk.

MEMBERS ONLY
We've got a full and active diary of events for 2010: check out the Members only events page on the Chester Tri website.

Details of the very popular Training Weekend are now online.  We are returning to Ingleton this year.  Andy White has reassured me that there are no hills up there.  So there should be some nice easy cycling and run training possible.

The Pyrenees adventure is now full.  If you would like to be on the reserve list please contact Andy White.

You can contact her most weeks at the track, or Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning swims. Alternatively, use the e-group or send an email to
kate@chestertri.org.uk.

If you can help out with a few words about your impressions of the event and maybe even taking a photo, that would be even better.

TRAINING
Claire’s Run: on Tuesday night run is changing it's format.  Claire's success means that she seems to be getting more, faster paced runners coming along. This is great, but we don't want the novice runners to be put off and worry that they won't be able to keep up.

With this in mind we will be splitting the group into three to make sure everyone runs at their own pace or close to it.  Club coaches Dave Taylor and Sally Napthen will be there, along with Claire, in order to help provide for the needs of the three sub-groups.

So please come along to Total Fitness at 18:30. Remember your high vis jackets/tops until we get evening light again.

No-one is left behind and it usually covers 3 to 4 miles.

Chris Morgan wanted me remind everyone about the fully coached popular track sessions on Wednesday nights.  Details on our web site all levels welcome.

Wednesday evening 1 hour recovery runs also still set off from the City Baths at 19:00.  These are informal meets with routes decided on the night.

Wednesday evening swims at the City Bath.  The club now has use of the whole pool at the City Baths on Wednesday nights for un-coached sessions.  These are great for trying out some new techniques, getting in some additional training or just training in an almost empty pool.  There were two of us last week – so if you are unhappy with how busy some of the other sessions are come along at 20:00 to 21:00.

Turbo: This Thursday evening is back to "normal" with Peter.

The session is from 19:00 to 20:00 but please get to the City Baths’ gym for 18:45 in order to set up. Details are on the website.

For wider training information check the website or e-group for more ad-hoc events and partnerships.

That's all for now Folks....

...have a look and listen to the Triathlon Song on U-Tube.
